Arguably the “Daddy” of the 1000cc Superbikes, the 2005 model did much to re-write the rule book and reinforce  its position as the most “all things to all people” superbike.

Now for 2006, the GSX-R1000 comes with even more horsepower, and is considerably lighter than most things around (an incredible 166kg making it more like a 600 than a litre class machine).
